find us faithful

Alahh, itu tien hui.. Emo lah her post.. make me emo :(

Just had our pka farewell night last friday. To all first years, it's really happy working with you guys, YOU ARE A BUNCH OF AWESOME PEOPLE! INCLUDING ME!! HAHA :) Really! Thank you so much for putting so much effort and making this event a successful one :)

I'm so sad that the final year students are leaving, but i'm not showing my sad face. HAHAHA, only here nee i show :p but like what tien mentioned in her blog, we need to learn to let go.

Thank you for making me belong to this PKA family
Thank you for the memories and the footprints that you leave in my life
Thank you for 'bullying' me and justify yourself by saying that it's a way to show me that you sayang me
Thank you for impacting my life as you allow God to use you to touch my life
Thank you for all that you've done

We're pilgrims on the journey
Of the narrow road
And those who've gone before us line the way
Cheering on the faithful, encouraging the weary
Their lives a stirring testament to God's sustaining grace

Surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses
Let us run the race not only for the prize
But as those who've gone before us
Let us leave to those behind us
The heritage of faithfulness passed on through godly lives

CHORUS:
Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful
May the fire of our devotion light their way
May the footprints that we leave
Lead them to believe
And the lives we live inspire them to obey

Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful

After all our hopes and dreams have come and gone
And our children sift through all we've left behind
May the clues that they discover and the memories they uncover
Become the light that leads them to the road we each must find

'Find us faithful' is a mime performance that has been passed down since 80's (according to steph)? I'm glad that I made the decision to be a part of this. So when it's my time for me to leave and graduate, I want to be able to identify myself with the lyrics of this song...that my juniors will also find me faithful :)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2

Let us not just RUN well
but FINISH well.

:')
I feel so sad as I was reading my psychology textbook :( dahlah, stress!

'When people do marry, the probability of divorce is high, especially for younger couples. Even though divorce rates have been declining since they peaked in 1981, about half of all first marriages end in divorce. Before they are 18 years old, two-fifths of children will experience the breakup of their parents' marriages. Moreover, the rise in divorce is not just a U.S phenonemon: the divorce rate has accelerated over the last several decades in most industrialized countries...'
- psychology and your life by Robert S.Feldman-

So sad!!! How can this be????
:( :( :(
what kind of values are we holding on to??

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Let no one split apart what God has joined together.

Father, teach us how to love.

start living it out

For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk, it is living by God's power.
1 corinthians 4:20

When God ran

Almighty God, the great I am
Immovable rock, omnipotent, powerful, awesome Lord
Victorious warrior, commanding King of Kings
Mighty conqueror, and the only time
the only time I ever saw Him run

Was when He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
“Son do you know I still love you?”
He caught me by surprise when God ran

The day I left home I knew I’d broken His heart
And I wondered then if things could ever be the same
Then one night I remembered His love for me
And down that dusty road ahead I could see
It was the only time – it was the only time I ever saw Him run

And then He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
“Son do you know I still love you?”
He caught me by surprise as He brought me to my knees
When God ran – I saw Him run to me

I was so ashamed, all alone and so far away
But now I know He’s been waiting for this day

I saw Him run to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice I felt His love for me again

He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said, “Son”, He called me Son
He said, “Son do you know I still love you?”
He ran to me and then I ran to Him
When God ran

“So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him."

Luke 15:20

Will you run back to God?

Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. 1 Peter 3:3-4

I came back from cell group about 2 hours ago? I'm like so tired and I wanted to sidai baju when I reached home, but surprisingly, all sudahpun disidaikan :) My grandma sidai-ed for me.

Recently, people whom I find very difficult to get along with, have been showing me love. Not by words but actions.

So Carmen, what have you been doing?
Aren't you suppose to take the first step?
I don't want to always be the one waiting for people to show me love.
I want to love them even before they choose to respond in love.
Because this is what Jesus did.
He died on the cross before you choose to
respond back to Him.
That love is unconditional.

If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:46-48
