business communication oral presentation

Had my oral presentation this afternoon, I was like so nervous but I knew that God was with me :) Seriously, I don't really bother how many marks I will get for this presentation, but I just want God to be glorified, for He is good and He deserves all the glory!

GLORY TO JESUS!

"A very good afternoon to Dr.Lilis and all my friends! My name is Carmen *smile*. The title for my oral today is 'My ambition, my dream'. Since I was young until the age of 18, I seriously wanted to become a millionaire by the age of 30. To me, money was everything and without money I can do nothing. All I ever wanted is to become rich because I just hate being poor. But since the day I came to understand the reason why I live and found my faith, I no longer want to become a millionaire but I want to be a person who will change people's lives just by loving them.

* I begin to see heads turning towards my direction because I was standing right behind of the lecture room*

I'm so sad to say that love became so cheap these days. *I saw Dr.Lilis lifting up her head and look straight into my eyes..Lord, help.* A lot of people express the phrase "I love you" so freely without knowing the true meaning of love. Do they really understand the meaning of love? or do they even mean what they say?

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or rude or proud. It does not demand its own ways, it keeps no record of being wrong. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever truth prevails. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures every circumstance. It's easy to love those who are lovable but it is not easy to love those who strangers to you. I admit that I still find it very difficult to love the people around me but I'm learning it day by day because I believe that love is able

to change a person's life.

I'm not saying that money is not important at all but money shouldn't be the first priority in our lives. Life has to be more than just about being rich because we were created for a greater reason and a greater purpose than just fulfilling our own needs and desires. And if being rich is the ultimate goal of my life, then I feel i'm just existing for the sake of taking up space on planet earth.

Today, my dream is to see broken lives being transformed into new lives, specifically those who think that life is meaningless that they will find the purpose of life, those who are sad will be given joy, those who are under the grips and chains of addiction will be set free, and seeing human beings learning to love one another, not just their boyfriends or girlfriends or family but also those who are difficult to get along with because we should be able to see beyond the surface of difficulties and find the good within people.

And if today I'm given another choice to choose between being a millionaire or seeing human beings learning to love one another, I choose love because money can fade away but love is eternal.

Lastly, as you can see *pointing to my revolution t-shirt*,

this shirt that i'm wearing - it's written REVOLUTION.

*take out my mahjung paper with the word "Revolution" written on it, everyone was so curious and I saw a smile on Dr.Lilis' face*

But if you observe properly, this word contain 4 letter words - L.O.V.E

I believe that Revolution begins with LOVE and Revolution begins with You.

IT'S COOL STUFF! Well, not just guys, ladies too, because woman needs to be clear about what kind of guy you are looking for, not just simply any guy you manage to grab in times of desperation but - a man of God! :) I'm not sure about you (woman), but I'm definitely looking for a man of God :) However, one thing that struck me while reading this is

"It's not about finding the right woman/man, it’s about being the right woman/man. That starts with first knowing God in order to know yourself."

Because if we are looking for a man of God, man of God is looking for woman of God, vice versa.


So are you a man/woman of God? :)

PRAY PRAY PRAAAYYY, PRAYER! :D met up with Michael, Tien Hui and Cain yesterday night at Tekun Foyer just to pray and intercede for USM :) God is good! Though it was only 4 of us, but we just enjoyed praying in the presence of God, knowing that God is not looking for quantity but He is looking into our hearts :) And we're believing for a breakthrough in PKA, greater things are yet to come! :D

After prayer, I took out my brand new monopoly cards and taught them how to play! :)

Lost to michael once, and then gained back my maruah by defeating him the last round! yeshh!! :p

USM CG

had a great time during CG yesterday. went to play badminton. for the first time ever I stepped into USM's badminton court :D and also US pizza, oh yes, eventhough I'm a penangite I've not been to Us pizza. :O Had a great time fellowshipping with Lion-hearted David cg members. Yup, that's my CG! :D

I didn't play badminton for a very long time

(the last time was during my secondary school, form 1 - form 2)
So I'm now a lousy player :(

moy wei sern

went for lunch just now with moy wei sern, my good friend :) it was a long time since the last time I saw him. We used to be so close back then, when we were studying in disted college together. We did so many crazy and stupid things together. I used to always run to him whenever I have problems and difficulties. Time flies, memories remain as memories. I'm sad. Sometimes I just wish things around me will never change, hence good friends will never leave. But this is part of life.
One thing never changes - God. He is the same, yesterday, tomorrow and forever more :)

He was the first person who bought me a bible. and that time, I was still a non-believer. Till now, I'm still using the same bible :)

If u ever read this wei sern,
