A song of freedom is on my lips, today..today-ay! YAY!!
Finally~!!!!!!! FINALLY, this is the day that I have been waiting for! 4 months of break :D :D :D
PRAISE THE LORD!!!

I have something to share actually :D
In spite of all the huhu haha ohmy ohmy stresstresstress, during this exam season, I want to praise God! :) because He is with me. even until this very day :) and the days to come!
Why am I so stress this sem compared to last sem? kalau last sem I stress, this sem i lagi stress!
I blame myself because of my very bad time management and I didn't really do well in my mid-term tests. I was caught up with many things just right before my study week. Hence, I only started my revision during my study week, which obviously NOT ENOUGH.. Hello, 60 over chapters in a week leh.. I am not exaggerating!

macro - 13 chapters
bcomm - 10 chapters
blaw - 5 chapters
operations - 20 chapters
marketing - 19 chapters

That's why. I say. God is good! :)
Yesterday Audrey said to me, 'Eh I tabik you la. 3 days in a row also I can't tahan d, urs kena 5 days!'
It was His grace that brought me through all these :) so I tabik my God :) I thank Him for His grace is enough, it was Him who gave me strength when I was weak. It was Him who encouraged me when I was down.

There was one night I prayed to God before I sleep because I was so restless, 'Father, I only get to sleep for 4 hours :( can You somehow make me feel as though I have more than 6 hours of sleep? because I'm really very tired and I need some rest, thank You thank You!' Then the next morning when I woke up, I was not tired AT ALL! :D :D power power in the name of Jesus! lalalala

Next was the informal prayer meeting that Abel initiated. Challenged myself to stay focus on my 'usual business' :) It was challenging at first, but it was during prayer that God replaced my stress with His joy and my worries with His peace :) lalalala

Lastly, not forgetting the 'tlc' (tenderlovingcare) that I received during my stress-but-God-is-real week :)

But after prayer meeting, I wrote this :)
because I felt God's comfort and begin to be able to absorb all the 'cases and sections' into my small tiny brain :) The paper was not as tough as what I expected. Really thank God. that's why I posted 'nyek nyek nyek' on my previous post :p u tau tak power of corporate prayer? :)

This past weeks, I'm learning more about God's love.
His love is not selfish. His love is selfless.
AH-MAY-ZING!! so much much much more more more to learn! But I know He is faithful to mature me and make me more like Him :) I don't have to struggle to change, I just need to surrender to Him to change me.
actually kan, the word 'amazing' is not even enough to describe His love :p

Should there be a reason to love?

"If I love someone with worldly love, there is always a reason why I want to love. Ultimately, selfishness is at the center of all worldly love. Think about it. As an example, take dating relationships. Why do most dating relationships begin? Is it because two people want to display the love of Christ to each other? No, usually it is because one person notices something desirable (something that he/she wants) in the other person. Often, the quality is something as shallow as mere physical beauty. Sometimes that quality is money, status, or power.

As another example, take friendships. Why are some people not accepted socially? There are always those who just do not have many, if any, friends. Why is this? It is because these people do not posses a quality that others find desirable or beneficial; therefore there is no reason for someone to love them-another example of selfishness.

This agrees with the story of the good Samaritan that Jesus told in Luke 10:25-37. The man who was beaten and robbed possessed no desirable characteristics that made anyone want to love him and so both a priest and a Levite passed by the man without so much as calling for help. A Samaritan showed true compassion and love by helping him. There was a cost involved-at least monetarily (Luke 10:35), but also socially (Samaritans do not associate with Jews) and probably physically. It was no easy task to pick up a half-beaten, bloody man and take him to an inn. Jesus said that the story illustrated how we are to love our neighbors as ourselves (Luke 10:27). This was not a worldly love, but God's love.

True love originates from God, not from self: "love comes from God" (I John 4:7). In fact, it is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). If you love with God's love, the people that you love may not have any characteristic that makes you want to love them.

In prophesying about Christ Isaiah said that "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him" (Isaiah 53:2). Rather than loving people for your benefit, you choose to love them for their benefit and God's eternal benefit. Philippians 2:3-4 tells us to consider others better than ourselves.

According to the Bible (I Corinthians 13:1-8), love can be defined as any act, attitude, or manner of living characterized by patience, kindness, humility, selflessness, forgiveness, and a hatred of evil. Motives or goals of love include bearing with others, trusting, hoping, and enduring; thus, it is not temporary."

Father, I pray that even when there's only one person, one soul, one heart to win for Jesus.. I will not let that ONE pass me by.. because I know that ONE matters so much to You. Help me Lord.. Help me to forgive, teach me how to love, teach me how to show compassion. In Jesus' name, Amen.

what is my 'usual business'?

I remember Wai Wai asked this question during bible study.
"What is our 'usual business'?"

Assignments? Exams? Or is it God's work?

I accepted the challenge to gather for prayer every night at 8pm. I'm not trying to be more spiritual and holy by attending more prayer meetings but I believe in the power of corporate prayer. I believe in the power of unity among God's people. I want to see change. I want to see revival. I want to see God's glory upon USM.

my back is so painful now :'(
I think it's because of the chair in my room.
My back wasn't this pain when I studied for long hours in USM library or hostel room.
Cacat mia chair. ciplak.
I wonder how I endured spm and stpm with the same chair. ho liao.
Maybe because I'm aging now!!! :O OH NOOOOO!
After I finish every one chapter, I need to lie down on the sofa to rest my poor back...
With my eyes open wide...just to rest my back.
So boring. So I decided to talk to God. :) :)

pray for sarawak

If you call yourself a child of God and you're a Malaysian, please continue to pray for Sarawak. Pray:

1. Give thanks to God for His love for Sarawak; for blessing us with abundance of resources, no natural disasters, peace and harmony amongst people of many races and religions.

2. For a peaceful, free and fair election, with good weather, good voter turnout. Pray for leaders who are capable, God-fearing, full of integrity and hate dishonest gain.

3. Pray the new Government will love and take care of the people, especially the poor, needy and marginalised.

4. For the people of Sarawak that they will be good and responsible citizens, law abiding and respectful of the government, will love one another and live in peace and harmony.

5. For revival in Sarawak, that there will be a GREAT SPIRITUAL AWAKENING amongst the churches to bring her people to know God in a greater measure, to be the salt and light and be a blessing to the community.

My car was sent for repair AGAIN. Yes again! :(
So, I took the bus to library today! :) good girl kan? :)
I left library at around 6 and I took the bus from SK2.
The bus driver then dropped a group of people at library 2.
I was the only one left in the bus, so the driver looked at me..I looked at him.
Then I remembered 'I want to put a smile on a person's face today!'
So just before I get down from the bus, I said "Terima kasih!" with my happy loud voice. He smiled and said "Terima kasih adik!"

Then I wonder, why he said 'Terima kasih' to me? what did i do? he should replied 'sama-sama' or something.. HAHAHA

:) It's really good
when we choose to encourage/speak life over people!
Actually it's really simple, why so kedekut in giving compliments.hmm..
I need to practice more often! :)

I was discouraged, disappointed.
I have been complaining to God..
Why this, why that
why God...why?

Then this afternoon as I was driving and waiting for the traffic light to turn green, I saw this old man sitting by himself nearby tesco. I begin to realise that I've been so inward looking. I care so much about how I feel and allow myself to dwell in SELF-PITY. How about the dying world out there who needs the love of christ?

You know, we can spend so much time complaining and not doing.
I'm not saying that we are not allowed to complaint and sigh.
but don't allow yourself to dwell in it because that's what the enemies want us to do!!

Jesus did not die to make us weak
He died so that in Him, we can be made strong
Jesus did not die to make us losers
He died so that in Him, we can be more than conquerors
Jesus did not die to make us broken
He died so that in Him, we can receive restoration
So Carmen, stop living as though there's no Saviour
Stop living as though He did not rose and conquered the grave
Stop living lesser.
Start living for Him who died and rose again!
And live your faith out LOUD!

Just had our pka farewell night last friday. To all first years, it's really happy working with you guys, YOU ARE A BUNCH OF AWESOME PEOPLE! INCLUDING ME!! HAHA :) Really! Thank you so much for putting so much effort and making this event a successful one :)

I'm so sad that the final year students are leaving, but i'm not showing my sad face. HAHAHA, only here nee i show :p but like what tien mentioned in her blog, we need to learn to let go.

'Find us faithful' is a mime performance that has been passed down since 80's (according to steph)? I'm glad that I made the decision to be a part of this. So when it's my time for me to leave and graduate, I want to be able to identify myself with the lyrics of this song...that my juniors will also find me faithful :)


Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up.
