By God's grace, I got accepted into USM! :D I was so happy and screaming over the phone when Bee Siang called me. And I got my first choice! Thank God for His confirmation! :) My aunties, uncles and EVEN MY GRANDMA has been asking me why I didn't apply to go to Singapore -"Why you so stupid?? Go and apply laaaa. Why take Management? Go and get yourself a professional course!" I applied for Law in UM as well but somehow I knew in my heart that God wants me to stay here in Penang. Of course, I have the desire to stay in Penang too and God confirmed it! I believe God placed me in USM not just for me to excel in my studies because I'm placed there for a greater and bigger purpose than just excelling in my studies :) I'm glad. I'm thankful. To know that I'm walking in His will - which is good and perfect.

This is the time!

This year, I have been experiencing God in so many ways :) I thank God for what He has done, what He is doing and what He will do in my life :) I serve an awesome God!! There is this burden in my heart to do more for God, to move on - to rise up ! to make changes and impact the people around me. Change is hard, is never an easy thing but I want to do it because my God is more than able! Am I scared? Yes, but No more rooms for fear,

runnat 2010

i hate sports but i love jesus!! :D If you really know me well, you know I'm not a sportswoman. But this time, I took up the challenge to run for the nation :D woohhh, yes, Carmen is running for the nation! Even now, I still can't believe that I've COMPLETED THE RACE AND INDEED IT'S BY GOD'S GRACE!!! God is good ALL THE TIME! Woke up at 7am this morning just to spend time with the Lord and keep my team in prayer :) Then met up with sean and rachel in church at 9.15am. I was nervous like siao, because this was my first time and I REALLY WANT TO FINISH THE RACE, our endpoint is RGBC..so if we couldn't finish, the whole world will know! malu lah by then :( Each team has only 30 minutes to complete their race. Met up with Pr.Tom and Pr.Edward at about 9.45am at Sek. Abdullah Munsyi and then we waited for the team before us to pass us the prayer card and we started to run at around 10.05am. And the rain was quite heavy by then but we DIDN'T GIVE UP. It was very challenging as we can hardly read the prayer card because of the rain. So we didn't really follow the prayer card exactly but we prayed for the people and places that we passed by. We ran, we prayed and we believed! and will continue to pray and believe! :) And by God's grace, we reached RGBC at 10.40am. Heee :D I'm about to fall sick now, whole body also ache but yeah, it's worth it and I just want to say that JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH :D thank you Jesus!

campus family :)

Each and everyone of them is unique in their own ways :) Looking at this campus picture, I'm always reminded by God to love them just like my own family because they are indeed my family in christ! It's not easy to love someone, (if you really understand the definition of love) but I'm still learning and trying to love them, accept them for who they are :) I'm very blessed to have them in my life. I thank God for placing me in RGBC, and for the family in Christ that He has given to me :)

I'm very very thankful.

Two Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes which God gave me to hold
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black, And all your joys in the gold."

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes

With curiosity, I opened the black I wanted to find out why
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

"My child, they're all here with me."

I asked, "God, why give me the boxes,

"My child, the gold is for you to count your
blessings, The black is for you to let go."

heart of giving

One of the areas that God has been challenging me these days is to give. Not only give, but to give out of inconveniences. It's easy to give when it's convenient, but it's hard to give when it's inconvenient. How to give when you don't have enough even for yourself ? when you need it for your own stuff? It's very challenging for me, to give whether in terms of money, time or effort. It's so easy to give when I have lots of money, lots of time, goyang kaki at home with nothing to do but I don't like to give when it causes pain to me. I remember Pr. Kenneth shared this in his sermon, God didn't look at how much you put in the offering bag, He looks at how much is left in your bank. God looks at your heart. It's not what you do in your good times that will test you, but the things that you do in your hard times that will test you. Circumstances don't break or mould a person, it just reveals who you are. We are still able to give when we don't have enough because His grace is enough for each and everyone of us :)

HAPPY MEI THONG'S DAY :)

Mei Thong is my murmeee!!! I've decided to make cupcakes for my beloved mama :) Rushed to buy all the ingredients this morning and off to church. Then went to chia's house to get oven and mixing bowl right after church. yeah, then it took me 3 hours to finish EVERYTHING. my goodness, im so super tired now. but feel so satisfying after finish doing it :) It's worth it, my mum deserves more than this though..

Love her soooooo much :)

being random again

1. Started to help out in church since last wed, im deadly tired..I'm called PA - not personal assistant, im Pastor Tom's Assistant.. pls understand when ur pastor said that he/she is tired, HE/SHE IS REALLY --> TIRED. But at the same time, it's a joy to serve in the house of God! Having FUN! and learning more stuff :D

5. im saving money to go for revo conference next month :) hopefully.

6. I wanna spend money WISELY. No more shopping here and there. No more new sandals, no more new tshirts, no more new shoes, no more new bags, no more NEW WHATEVER unless it's necessary *im very determined this time :D*

experienced God in a tangible way :)

Went for sunday service yesterday as usual. But the word "usual" turned out to be "unusual" :) While worshiping God during praise and worship, God's presence was so tangible. My spirit was crying out for more of God, His love, His grace and God Himself. My hands lifted up, enjoying worshiping Him for who He is. While still worshiping God by singing praises unto Him, I suddenly felt my hands were being lifted up even higher, this time without me controlling my own hands. deep inside my heart I asked "God, is it you?" slowly my hands moved towards my face.. Then my hands touched my eyes which were still full of tears. I cried out even louder this time. God cares. Every tear that I cry, matters so much to Him. He cares so much. I don't deserve this, but still He considers me worthy. That's why I love Him, I serve Him.. Jesus is my God and King!

Actually I thought twice before I wrote this entry. I know people wouldn't believe this, and it sounds kinda illogical to experience God in such a way. But I decided to share this anyway, because this is real, I cannot tahan keeping God's goodness to myself. He is worthy to be praised !! and I know this pleases God :) The very reason I created this blog is so that every entry that I share is a testimony about what God is doing in my life. That is why I named it "MY CREATOR AND I" and yes, whether you like it or not, this blog is going to continuously lift up the name of JESUS CHRIST!!! :D
